My brother's poem for me.

This last Christmas my brother made me a poem as a present. I thought it would be nice to share it to.

Life

You are so young

But act so old

You're growing quickly

So I am told

You are so happy

Never sad

I don't know how

You stay so glad

You try to hide things

But it still shows

You help our family

And make it grow

You want to learn

You want to try

If you wanted to

You could fly

Keep believing

Don't give up

Until you drink

From the cup

Snow!!!

Today ot snowed!! I am so happy. I went in it for hours and hours. I am happy it snowed. I hopes it snows again!

I'm going to get a Golden Bear award!!

Tomorrow at 2:30 I am going to get a Golden Bear Award! A Golden Bear Award is an award you get if you are a good student. I am so happy. The only thing bad about it is that my mom will not be there. Only my dad. But it is better than no one. I hope my dad will take a picture of me for mommy. She will be so proud of me. I know it.

Some...uh...bad news

Well of course I have to start from the beginning so you will know the whole story. One day our family was happily sitting in our family room to watch a T.V. show. We hear a knock on the window. Hmmmm. Who was the only one outside? Well it was my brother, Brahms. He was bringing his turtles into the garage where there is a tank for the turtles. We went outside to see what happened. The thing was ,Bob,(Short for Beethoven)was gone. We looked around for him. My mom found him. His mouth was full of bark and ... um his legs were gone. So was his tail. We brought him inside while my brother brought in Chuck,(short for Chekhov, a famous writer)in the garage. Bob moved a little bit with what he had left of his legs. Of course the bark came out of his mouth. On Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, he was fine, but on Thursday, his head was down and he looked sick. A couple hours after my brother came back from school, his head was stiff and his eyes were closed, he was dead. We put him in a club crackers box and put a little note on it that said, "Bob- He was a good turtle". I quickly got some scissors and went to go pick roses so my brother could put them where he was buried. He did not take them. He was too sad. Bob was his turtle. I put the flowers on instead. Then my sister came home saying " Where is Bob?"

Which Country will Survive?

Have you ever wondered if you will survive global warming with the strong winds? If you are one of those people, you need to watch this. They experimented on who will die out first with the inability to eat. They represented the winds with a super power leaf blower. Go ahead and watch it. Who knows? You might still have time to change your nationality. T-T-F-N!

Apple Hill

Apple Hill if no one has noticed is very fun. They sell very yummy pies. My favorite is the walking pie. Of coarse it does not walk with legs around! You are supposed to walk with it, except with the apple cider sauce, I think. It is too messy. My brother and sister love it. I love their caramel apples too. The gooey caramel. I can taste it right now. Too bad my brother and sister cannot eat it. They have braces. One day I will have braces. Boo! Well I love their pumpkins too. I got one when we went on a field trip. That is all. T-T-F-N.

Echo and Narcissus

Narcissus was so handsome that every girl loved him. Now Echo was one of the nymphs that Pan fell in love with. Echo followed Narcissus whenever he went hunting. When Narcissus came to a quiet pool he bent over to drink when suddenly he stopped and stared at his reflection. He smiled at the face he saw. He said to his reflection,"I love you". He sat there forgeting to eat or drink until he turned into a flower that looks down at the water. It is called the Narcissus flower. That is bad. Too bad for him.

My Travel to ... (Belize 2007)

In these posts they will talk about travels that me and my family have made. This first one is for the first time I've been to Belize in 2007. The airplane ride was not too long for Belize is only in Central America. When we went there we were on a missions trip. The host's name is Mr. Richard. He drives a bis bus around to carry the missions team. The food was strange. Some stuff like fried banana was good. Once we are done with our work on some days, we get to go down to a nearby river and go swimming. It is always fun. We also got to go snorkeling and cave tubing. The cave tubing at parts is scary, but for me only the cave is scary. When we got out into the light the water was fast. You don't have to direct yourself, just put your hands in the air. About the snorkeling. It was fun. We went to the second largest coral reef in the world! I got to pet a sea turtle, a manta ray, and a shark. It was too much fun. I hope I can go to Belize again.

Holloween is Coming!! Woo Hoo!

Halloween is coming up, so of coarse I had to decide my costume. This one took me a while. I was thinking about all the movie characters I could think of. Hermione Granger, (yes that almost never crosses my mind for Halloween, but I guess it did), I was also thinking about the sock monster, but that is not a kind of suit a 4th grader would do. It is too ridiculous. Then my mind whent video games. Oh Pitfall Harry, Oh A sack person, Oh cool maybe a car, wait! No, not a car. Ummm Maybe a airplane, no. Maybe a ninja, mayb. I stopped there. I was petrified for one hour even. That idea was amazing!! Right now I am so happy next Saturday is Halloween. I already have My beanie, glives my flute (that is the ninja's weapon. crazy huh?) and that is all. I still have to buy a lot until my costume is ready. Mua Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha HA HAaa . Never mind, T-T-F-N!!!

They want to eat octopus juice with hedgehog hamburgers. (Poor Sonic, well I do not think that you want to have blue hamburger patties!) Lemons (people) do not like to eat sour people.(Lemons.) They are only used for people. cake. (Lemon Cake) Boa Constricter bit me with its venomous teeth. Do you like Hippopotomus Juice with yyuuummm yyyuuummm kangaroo bones. OOgala Boogala Ooit type butterfly roast beef goodness and apple blatters. Yum Yum. Rose pettal palm tree wire leaves. Carrot and milk happines eggs.I lurv Mashed potatos they are cute little edible french fry potato chip things. They can take over the earth.Woo hoo. Semaphore lovers. Uncle Paul and Aunt Pam are here this weekend!

This weekend my Uncle and Aunt were at our house. They are so nice. They gave us cheeeeeeeeeese. :). It was good. They are at a wedding right now. They left at 9:00 am, and it is 5:00 pm, and they are still not here! Hmmm. I wonder where they are. I like the parts of weddings where they kiss. It is so cute. T-T-F-N!!!

The movie, "9" just came out!!!

The movie "9" just came out. I love it! It is about a scientist gives nine rag dolls parts of his soul. But before that the scientist made a michine that makes machines of peace. But then the michine turned against humanity. The scientist made the rag dolls because humanity was going enstinct. Ok. 9 found a piece of metal and put it in a slot. Then a big, huge machine, the michine. Yeah, the one that the scientist made. The michine made other michines that brought the rag dolls to the michine. Then the michine took the souls of the rag dolls. I better tell you which rag doll is which. 1 is the leader, 2 is an inventor, 3 and 4 are mute, twin experts on history, 5 is loyal, but afraid of everything he is also a mender, 6 is an artist, 7 is a girl butt-kicking warrior, 8 is 1's inforcer, and 9 is a curious, youngster. He is the main character. 9 used the source that made the rag dolls. He used it to destroy the michine. The rag dolls left living were 3, 4, 7, and 9.

Band Just Started!!

A couple weeks ago band started. Mr. Lauder is the band teacher. He is nice. He is not strict. He says everything calm like Mr. Nordquist. They never yell unless they need to. I think that I have very nice teachers. Except Mrs. Williams, our P.E teacher. She yells a lot. So does Mrs. McFarlin, the teacher next door. Back to band. I play percussion. I love percussion. I think the year will be very good. T-T-F-N!!

True Fact of the Week: In some places you are supposed to eat your bowl!

A trencher is a bowl made out of toasted bread. Then they put strained hot stew on the inside of the bread after they hollow the bread. Do people still use trenchers? Absolutely! All the time. See ya next week fo another fact.

Writing Tip of the Day: Titles Last

For writing there are many things you can do. Today's tip is that if you're writing a story it would be better if you wrote the story first before you make the title. This goves you more time to think about what the title should be. Also if you are still writing the story and you don't know what you want to do next than write the title last. Well, come in tomorrow and read more tips.

First Day of 4th Grade

Today was the first day of school . Yes I have Mr . Nordquist. My brother and sister had him. He is nice and funny, but strict. Today all the homework I had to do is my reading log. I like him and hope to have a good year with him. T-T-F-N!

I am so exited for school. I have Mr. Nordquest. He was my sister's 5th grade teacher and my brother's 4th and 5th grade teacher. My sister says he is harsh. But they also said that he is so much fun. I heared about the purple pen. My sister says not to touch it. If you touch it, Mr. Nordquest would kill you. I don't know why it is so precious, but I will try not to touch it. It may be really pretty or maybe because of nothing. T-T-F-N

Alone Today

Today and for the rest of the week I will be lonely. My brother and sister are both in school. I don't even get to see them in the morning they wake up so early. Today is Tuesday so I have 3 more days by myself. I wonder what teacher I get. I hope I get a good teacher. I always want to rest these days. Maybe because it is summer still. T-T-F-N!

Back to School

Soon I will go back to school. I hope I get a good teacher. I want one like my last teacher, Mrs. Haverty. She is a little strict but really she is a beutiful teacher. You can learn a lot of words from her. We just got school supplies. It is always fun to pack your bag. Well I will have fun. I know that for a fact. I will. T-T-F-N!

Niagra Falls views

A couple days ago, we were in Niagara Falls, Canada. We were in a hotel that had an amazing view. There was Horseshoe Falls right in front of us! Then there was the American Falls to our left! The night we got there, there were fireworks! They were cool.Then we had to leave this amazing place=(

Our Trip to Toronto

Tomorrow night we are going to Toronto. We will see friends and family. It will be cool! Many of our family members are from the Phillipines. I am going to bring my Phillipines T-Shirt. My iPod will come in handy so I can watch movies, listen to music, make slide shows with my pictures, and do a lot of fun stuff. I will be so happy there unless I get sick like in the Phillipines, Turkey, and Belize. I will get to see more cousins when I go there. I am exited!

Crocodile Dock VBS

Our church started a VBS called Crocodile Dock. It is almost the last day of it. I like it because it has good snacks that go with the bible story. The names of the stations are very appropriate. I love this VBS!

The Third Day of Blitz

Today was my second to last day of Blitz. That means that tomorrow will be my last day of Blitz. I will miss Rec, the water slide station. I like Blitz a lot. In Livin' on the EDGE the EDGE part stands for, Experiencing and Discovering God Everywhere. I will miss the new people I met there. T-T-F-N!

First Day of Blitz!

Today was our first day of "Blitz". It is a VBS at Lakeside Church. The theme of it is "Livin' on the Edge". My friend Erich, Will, and Tobias were in my group. I go to Cornerstone Christian Church. We first went to crafts, then we went to worship, then we went to the story, then finally we went to the water slides. I loved to go head first down a slide. It is fun. Then Mommy and I went to Ross to get me shoes and some dry clothes. Then we went to McDonald's for lunch. I had a side salad with ranch dressing and fries. T-T-F-N!!!

3\5 of my family went to Shonto, Arizona!

This morning I had to get up at 4:30 to drop off my brother, sister, and dad at the church, because they are going to help build homes in Shonto, Arizona, part of the Navajo Nation. The people who live there are there, because that little part of hot wilderness is what the government gave them. The main thing they are building, are bathrooms. They had to bring a lot of tools. My mom and I are lonely here at home, but it is good that we are together. I was so sad when the van left that I cried. I do cry a lot. Well my family was leaving. I thought I would be bored out of my skull when they left. Then I came home and suddenly realized there were books everywhere. There was a computer I could blog on. Then I looked at my schedule for today and there was clean, shop for guests, drum practice, and waiting for guests to arrive!!!! My mom is doing laundry right now and she said I could blog. T-T-F-N.

My Mom went to EGD\Colonoscopy today!

Today my mom went to an EGD and colonoscopy appointment. This is where they stick a camera down your throat and a camera up your behind. Weird isn't it? The day before my mom had to drink this yucky liquid. She also could not eat anything accept clear fruit juices, soft drinks, clear broth, popsicles, sport drinks, jello(she ate a lot of that), coffee\ tea, gummy bears, and water. We could not eat solids in front of her or else she will want the foods she cannot eat. So when ever we ate in front of her she would yell at us. She could not drink any red liquids. T-T-F-N, Ta Ta For Now!

5 Trains and 1 long Van Drive!

Today my dad had to rent a van in San Fransisco. It is a 15 passenger van. We had to go on 5 trains. One light rail, one Amtrak, two hubbles, and an airport shuttle. Then someone picked us up. His name was Jones. Just pronounced the same as The Jones Brothers! Then we had to take 25 minutes at the rental place. Then we got to get food at Costco. Then we went home. I was sleepy when we got home. My mom has to only eat water, JELL-O, and broth. It is annoying. Right now my brother is playing Little big Planet. He is complaining "For a good reason." he says. I don't believe him. It is only a video game. I like that game but I am behind my siblings. T-T-F-N, Ta Ta For Now.

Not Happy To Leave School

Today was our last day of school. At first I was happy the last day of school was coming near. Now I feel sad, because I will miss my friends, my teacher, and classroom memories. But my mommy tells me my memories will always be with me. But that doesn't make me happy right now. I can't touch my memories or play with them. I'm crying I'm so sad to leave my friends and Mrs. Haverty. I really miss them. I will see them next year but they might not be in my class and for sure Mrs. Haverty will not be my teacher. It feels now that I want school to go on forever. I am lucky I got all my friend's phone numbers! I can call them during the summer!

Myself: Reading Tall Tales

Today we finished all of our performances. I was so exited when I ended the play with my poem "Jabberwocky." I was so exited I went too fast. Then when we talked about our last performance, I was told to go slower. I was not very happy when I heard it. Well, I was done with the performances. I was so happy when I got home. Now I will go. Bye Bye!! T-T-F-N, Ta Ta For Now.

In N' Out Lunch!!!!!!!!!!!

Today we went to church. We go to Cornerstone Christian Church. Our pastor talked about the differences between a true believer, a false believer, or a hypocrite. I think I'm a hypocrite. I'll do something about it. Then I went to Sunday School. We learned about forgiveness. We did an activity where my brother and a girl named Kerry were on a team. The teams had to use blocks to make the highest tower they can. Then Kerry and my brother purposely started knocking our towers over and said they were sorry. Then I realized that we were supposed to forgive them. Then it was fun for the rest of the hour. I went into Bell Air to get myself a Snapple! Then my family was talking and I was wondering why we were going in the direction of In N' Out. They kept it secret from me that we were going to In N' Out! I had a nice hamburger. I love the special sauce. It is delicious! Then my mom said I had to blog when we came home so that is the story of what I did so far today. I hope more fun things break through today!

Dessert

Today we made chocolate covered raspberrys. They are yummy. I want to make more of them later. I do like the light sour and the sweet. The dipping was fun. I do not like the feeling of melting chocolate in my hands. I think the taste is very great. I like the smell too. It smells like the chocolate heaven. Chocolate cooking is an art. I will do it again.

Erich's Birthday Party!

Today my very dear friend, Erich, had a birthday party. All we did is play games at our school. It was fun! I played handball and I climbed to the top of the play structure. I like to find ways to climb the walls. I love to climb on stuff. The people there are mostly people in his class. Two people were from my class encluding me. I love pretzels. They brought them in! I was hoarding them all. Nobody minded. : ) I really liked the party.

Another Friday Night

Today is another Friday and my mom and Dad are at a bible study. My brother is doing video games. The game is called LittleBig Planet. It is really fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love to watch him. But right now he is whining. That is not fun to watch. He just lost all his lives so this is more not fun. Now I will concentrate in my blog. Sorry I went bold. Iwill not do it again. Agg! Why me? Have the curse of the bold. No I'm becoming yellow. No purple. I think there is somth- Hey! It is back to- I have to see what is wrong with the computer.

My Mom is my Sub!

My mom was my sub today! All we did today was color! It was easy for her. It was a bit embarrassing sometimes but my mom is nice. This is a short paragraph. I do like to type but it is almost bedtime in 10 minutes.

New Reader's Theatre Background

Today we made backrounds for our reader's theatre at school. Our story is called "Sedna of the Sea" It is about a girl that was tricked into marrying a bird. Then her father and brothers were hunting on the waves. She told them what happened. The father told her to get in the boat and he sailed them away as fast as they could go. The bird saw this and attaked Sedna's father so he threw Sedna into the sea. She tried to get up but her father hit her hands and the tips of her fingers snapped off and became the first seals. The same thing happened and the bottoms of her fingers came off and became the first waluses. Then she tried to get up again but her thumbs would not support her. They snapped off and became the first whales. So she became the mother of all sea creatures.

We did a picture of the bird and Sedna in a boat. It was fun to work in a group. I have a lot of friends so it was really fun. I can't belive the preformance is on 6\15-16\09!

Reader's Theatre Background

Officially a Blogger Now

I'm so excited to write in my blog! I want to say everything anything I want to type. I like to practice typing, but not with everybody watching. Typing also makes my brain sharper. I also want to remember things important to me on my blog.

Today at school our class practiced our reader's theatre, which is a play where the preformers read instead of acting the story out. By the way I'm in third grade. My teacher is Mrs. Terri Haverty. She is a bit strict, but very nice. She has a lot of cool ideas for us to do like making comic books and board games. She is fun, but it will be summer in seven days and I will miss her.

There are 19 children in my class. The boys are: Ryan, Damien, Tobias, Gabe, Jose, Chris, and Dylan. The girls in my class are: Kaylyn, Makena, Audrie, Alexa, Mikayla, me Miriam, Emily, Hailey, Alyssa, Madison, and Hannah. There are seven boys and 12 girls in my class. The girls rule!

Why Daily Plumb? Well, it is the name of my newspaper. I haven't been writing articles lately, becaus there is not much news to tell.
